At Love View 3D/4D Ultrasound Studio, we understand the excitement and anticipation that comes with expecting a baby. Our scans at Love View are elective ultrasounds that exist to provide piece of mind for mom and a bonding experience for the whole family. Diagnostic testing, including diagnostic ultrasound, is a tool used to assess and ensuring the health and well-being of mother and baby. These tests provide valuable information to your care team about the development and health at different stages during your pregnancy.

Note: while we do not preform prenatal screening and our scans are for bonding purposes only our Sonographer is registered by RDMS in the area of obstetrics and gynecology with over 15 years of experience.

  1. Prenatal Screening Tests

Prenatal screening consists of blood tests, ultrasound, and more specialized procedures like amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling if necessary. Blood tests and ultrasound are first line screening techniques. Blood testing has come a long way with their sensitivity to detecting any issues with baby and they are only going to improve as technology advances.

  1. The Role of Ultrasound in Prenatal Screening

Ultrasound is a key component of prenatal screening. Ultrasound can provide doctors with detailed images of baby's anatomy, monitor growth, give the location of structures like the placenta and umbilical cord and even reveal baby's gender. These scans are usually done in 2D which are the classic black and white images of cross-sectional anatomy.

  1. Benefits of Prenatal Screening

Prenatal screening provides several benefits such as:

  • Identify potential issues early in pregnancy.
  • Provide peace of mind to expectant parents.
  • Assists provider in planning course of care during pregnancy.
  • Enhances the bonding experience between parents and their unborn baby.

"We absolutely loved our experience at Love View. At first our baby would not co-operate with pictures but Samantha was sweet and understanding. She was able to get our baby to roll over and let us see her entire face. I will definitely be back for another Ultrasound."

"I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a 3D-4D ultrasound! They were very nice and the viewing screen in the room was huge. I had six family members with me and they made sure we were all comfortable and had great viewing of our little boy."

Q.
Does an ultrasound at Love View take the place of an ultrasound at a doctor’s office?
A.
No, absolutely not. A 3D/4D Ultrasound at Love View will not take the place of a diagnostic study done by your doctor’s office.  Our ultrasounds are for bonding and viewing your precious baby. To have an ultrasound with us you must be receiving care from a licensed medical professional and have already had a diagnostic ultrasound.
Q.
When is the best time to have my 3D/4D ultrasound?
A.
We are happy to image your little one at any time after 10 weeks. The best time for a 3D/4D Ultrasound is 24-34 weeks. However, it is possible to get adorable images of baby before and after the recommended time frame. Earlier imaging can provide you a glimpse of your baby’s amazing development. Later imaging done once baby has started to gain weight will provide more detailed facial images and cute little hands and feet.
Q.
Will I get perfect images of my baby at every session?
A.
It is our mission at Love View to provide you with a session that is both memorable and filled with great images of baby. We will make every effort to get beautiful images. However, there are a few things that are beyond our control. Baby’s overall position, the amount of amniotic fluid, the position of baby’s arms and legs, and Mommy’s body tissue. These things can have an effect on the clarity and content of the images. Please rest assured we will do everything we can get the best images possible. If we are unable to see baby’s face at a 3D/4D session or if we are unable to determine gender during a Little Man or Little Miss session we will happily schedule you for a re-look.
Q.
Will my family and friends be able to come?
A.
We are able to comfortably accommodate up to 6 people other than Mommy. We also provide a complimentary live streaming service for loved ones who are unable to attend.
Q.
What can I do to give the best chance of good images?
A.
Stay Hydrated! You can make sure you are drinking plenty of water for several days before your session. It is also helpful if you have a light snack right before your session for example fruit or fruit juice
